At the occasion of his first museum exhibition, the 7th laureate of the Prix des Partenaires Jérémy Demester offers a journey through his own work, starting from the beginning. With more than fifty new etchings and paintings, Demester offers visitors an immersive, unusual experience.
Jérémy Demester shuffles images, like a tarot deck spread on a table.
In the first matrix of a room, the blue light emerging from the ground changes our perception of space. Thirty pointillist etchings depict a gypsy, a Christ, a skeleton, a tattoo, a cat, etc.
Jeremy Demester probes other types of human relations to convey emotions, thoughts, and concepts. The artist evokes the spiritual dimension of art, which means listening closely to the way of the spirit. His holographic paintings and etchings are like doors or links between separate worlds...
